CVE-2026-76614 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-10-01 4.3 Medium
OpenEMR before 8.3.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the EDI archive restore function. The archrestore_sel POST parameter is passed to the archive restore handler without sanitization for path traversal sequences. The handler checks whether the supplied path exists on the filesystem, and the differing response messages leak whether the target path exists. An authenticated user with EOB Data Entry permissions can probe arbitrary filesystem paths on the server to determine file existence.
CVE-2026-40509 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-10-01 4.3 Medium
OpenEMR before 8.3.0 contains a cross-site request forgery vulnerability in the DICOM viewer. The web_path GET parameter in the DICOM viewer page is embedded unsanitized as a URL without validation against expected path formats. An attacker can craft a URL that causes an authenticated user with Patients - Documents permissions to make authenticated requests to arbitrary OpenEMR endpoints, enabling forced logout and other state-changing actions.
CVE-2026-40508 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-10-01 5.4 Medium
OpenEMR before 8.3.0 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the patient portal template import handler that allows authenticated attackers with Forms Administration permissions to upload template files containing arbitrary HTML or JavaScript. Attackers can inject malicious scripts through the template upload functionality, which are stored without sanitization and execute in the browser of any other Forms Administration user who views the template in the HTML editor.
CVE-2026-40507 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-10-01 6.1 Medium
OpenEMR before 8.3.0 contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the patient portal template import handler. The templateHtml GET parameter is reflected into the page response without sanitization. An attacker can craft a URL that executes arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of any authenticated user with Forms Administration permissions who visits the link, enabling session hijacking.
CVE-2026-40506 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-10-01 6.5 Medium
OpenEMR before 8.2.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the standard_tables_manage.php interface where the db GET parameter is passed without validation to temp_dir_cleanup(), which joins the value to the PHP temporary directory path and recursively deletes the resulting directory. Attackers can supply a traversal sequence in the db parameter to resolve outside the intended temporary directory, and by chaining this with an open redirect in dicom_frame.php, an unauthenticated attacker can deliver a crafted URL that triggers arbitrary recursive directory deletion within an authenticated Superuser's session.
CVE-2026-67612 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-08-14 4.8 Medium
OpenEMR through 8.2.0 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the patient portal template system that allows authenticated administrators to inject arbitrary HTML and JavaScript by storing malicious payloads through the template save mode, which only filters literal PHP open tags. Attackers can exploit the lack of output encoding at the template retrieval endpoint combined with missing HttpOnly cookie attributes to exfiltrate session tokens via document.cookie access, enabling full session hijacking of any admin, clinician, or portal patient who views a poisoned template.
CVE-2026-67611 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-08-14 8.1 High
OpenEMR through 8.2.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows attackers with valid credentials to circumvent multi-factor authentication by exploiting the exposed OAuth2 password grant flow through an unauthenticated client registration endpoint. Attackers can register an OAuth2 client via the unauthenticated registration endpoint and use the password grant to exchange credentials for an API access token, bypassing the normal web interface authentication and any enforced multi-factor authentication controls.
CVE-2026-67610 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-08-14 8.1 High
OpenEMR through 8.2.0 contains an improper authentication vulnerability in the OAuth2 dynamic client registration endpoint that allows unauthenticated attackers to register a malicious client with system-level FHIR scopes by supplying a self-generated RSA keypair via the jwks field. Once an administrator approves the registered client, attackers can use the client_credentials grant with a self-signed JWT assertion to obtain access tokens granting read access to all FHIR resources across all patients in the system.
CVE-2026-39932 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-08-14 9.1 Critical
OpenEMR through 8.2.0 contains a remote code execution vulnerability in the document category tree component (library/classes/Tree.class.php) that allows authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary operating system commands by injecting PHP payloads into the categories database table. Attackers can chain arbitrary SQL execution to alter the id column type to VARCHAR and insert a malicious PHP payload, which is then executed via an unsanitized eval() call whenever any page instantiates CategoryTree, including unauthenticated and low-privilege pages, resulting in command execution as the web server user.
CVE-2026-39931 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-08-14 7.2 High
OpenEMR through 8.2.0 contains an authenticated SQL injection vulnerability in the backup configuration import feature that allows administrators with admin or super ACL privileges to execute arbitrary DDL and DML statements against the application database by uploading a crafted SQL file at the form_step=202 parameter in backup.php. Attackers can exploit the unfiltered shell_exec invocation of the mysql command-line client to extract credential hashes, modify access control tables, inject backdoor accounts, create persistent triggers or stored procedures, and write arbitrary files to the filesystem where MySQL FILE privileges and permissive secure_file_priv settings are configured.
CVE-2026-46518 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-06-11 7.7 High
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0.1, a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the prescription CSS/HTML multi-print feature allows a patient portal user to execute arbitrary JavaScript in a clinician's browser session. Patient demographic fields (name, address) are rendered without output encoding in multiprintcss_header(), and portal patients can write attacker-controlled HTML directly into patient_data by calling the PUT api/patient/:num endpoint, which bypasses the intended audit review workflow. Because the XSS fires in the clinician's authenticated session on the main OpenEMR interface, the attacker can access CSRF tokens, session data, and perform actions as the clinician — crossing the patient-to-clinician trust boundary. This issue has been patched in version 8.0.0.1.
CVE-2013-10044 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-04-07 8.8 High
An authenticated SQL injection vulnerability exists in OpenEMR ≤ 4.1.1 Patch 14 that allows a low-privileged attacker to extract administrator credentials and subsequently escalate privileges. Once elevated, the attacker can exploit an unrestricted file upload flaw to achieve remote code execution, resulting in full compromise of the application and its host system.
CVE-2026-33932 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-03-30 7.6 High
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0.3, a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the CCDA document preview allows an attacker who can upload or send a CCDA document to execute arbitrary JavaScript in a clinician's browser session when the document is previewed. The XSL stylesheet sanitizes attributes for all other narrative elements but not for `linkHtml`, allowing `href="javascript:..."` and event handler attributes to pass through unchanged. Version 8.0.0.3 patches the issue.
CVE-2026-34056 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-03-28 7.7 High
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. A Broken Access Control vulnerability in OpenEMR up to and including version 8.0.0.3 allows low-privilege users to view and download Ensora eRx error logs without proper authorization checks. This flaw compromises system confidentiality by exposing sensitive information, potentially leading to unauthorized data disclosure and misuse. As of time of publication, no known patches versions are available.
CVE-2026-34051 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-03-28 5.4 Medium
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Versions prior to 8.0.0.3 have an improper access control on the Import/Export functionality, allowing unauthorized users to perform import and export actions through direct request manipulation despite UI restrictions. This can lead to unauthorized data access, bulk data extraction, and manipulation of system data. Version 8.0.0.3 contains a fix.
CVE-2026-29187 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-03-27 8.1 High
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0.3, a Blind SQL Injection vulnerability exists in the Patient Search functionality (/interface/new/new_search_popup.php). The vulnerability allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary SQL commands by manipulating the HTTP parameter keys rather than the values. Version 8.0.0.3 contains a patch.
CVE-2026-32120 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-03-27 6.5 Medium
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0.3, an Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability in the fee sheet product save logic (`library/FeeSheet.class.php`) allows any authenticated user with fee sheet ACL access to delete, modify, or read `drug_sales` records belonging to arbitrary patients by manipulating the hidden `prod[][sale_id]` form field. The `save()` method uses the user-supplied `sale_id` in five SQL queries (SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE) without verifying that the record belongs to the current patient and encounter. Version 8.0.0.3 contains a patch.
CVE-2026-33348 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-03-27 8.7 High
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Users with the `Notes - my encounters` role can fill Eye Exam forms in patient encounters. The answers to the form are displayed on the encounter page and in the visit history for the users with the same role. Versions prior to 8.0.0.3 have a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the function to display the form answers, allowing any authenticated attacker with the specific role to insert arbitrary JavaScript into the system by entering malicious payloads to the form answers. The JavaScript code is later executed by any user with the form role when viewing the form answers in the patient encounter pages or visit history. Version 8.0.0.3 contains a patch.
CVE-2026-33909 2 Open-emr, Openemr 2 Openemr, Openemr 2026-03-27 5.9 Medium
OpenEMR is a free and open source electronic health records and medical practice management application. Prior to version 8.0.0.3, several variables in the MedEx recall/reminder processing code are concatenated directly into SQL queries without parameterization or type casting, enabling SQL injection. Version 8.0.0.3 contains a patch.
