| CVE-2026-23456 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 8.2 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_h323: fix OOB read in decode_int() CONS case In decode_int(), the CONS case calls get_bits(bs, 2) to read a length value, then calls get_uint(bs, len) without checking that len bytes remain in the buffer. The existing boundary check only validates the 2 bits for get_bits(), not the subsequent 1-4 bytes that get_uint() reads. This allows a malformed H.323/RAS packet to cause a 1-4 byte slab-out-of-bounds read. Add a boundary check for len bytes after get_bits() and before get_uint(). | ||||
| CVE-2026-23455 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 9.1 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_h323: check for zero length in DecodeQ931() In DecodeQ931(), the UserUserIE code path reads a 16-bit length from the packet, then decrements it by 1 to skip the protocol discriminator byte before passing it to DecodeH323_UserInformation(). If the encoded length is 0, the decrement wraps to -1, which is then passed as a large value to the decoder, leading to an out-of-bounds read. Add a check to ensure len is positive after the decrement. | ||||
| CVE-2026-23180 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-16 | 7 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dpaa2-switch: add bounds check for if_id in IRQ handler The IRQ handler extracts if_id from the upper 16 bits of the hardware status register and uses it to index into ethsw->ports[] without validation. Since if_id can be any 16-bit value (0-65535) but the ports array is only allocated with sw_attr.num_ifs elements, this can lead to an out-of-bounds read potentially. Add a bounds check before accessing the array, consistent with the existing validation in dpaa2_switch_rx(). | ||||
| CVE-2026-111271 | 1 Konstanty Bialkowski | 1 Libmodplug | 2026-10-16 | 5.5 Medium |
| libmodplug through 0.8.9.1 contains a heap-based out-of-bounds read vulnerability in CSoundFile::ReadAMS2() in src/load_ams.cpp that allows attackers to read adjacent heap memory via crafted AMS files. Attackers can supply an AMS module whose pattern effect bytes keep bit 7 set, driving the decoder past the input buffer and crashing any libmodplug consumer. | ||||
| CVE-2026-103569 | 1 Microsoft | 28 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2 and 25 more | 2026-10-16 | 7.5 High |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows IKE Extension allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. | ||||
| CVE-2026-105004 | 1 Microsoft | 28 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2 and 25 more | 2026-10-16 | 7.8 High |
| Out-of-bounds read in Windows Overlay Filter allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. | ||||
| CVE-2026-105007 | 1 Microsoft | 28 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2 and 25 more | 2026-10-16 | 8.8 High |
| An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in the Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS) when ndis.sys fails to check the length of a buffer prior to copying memory to it. To exploit the vulnerability, in a local attack scenario, an attacker could run a specially crafted application to elevate the attacker's privilege level. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could run processes in an elevated context. However, an attacker must first gain access to the local system with the ability to execute a malicious application in order to exploit this vulnerability. The security update addresses the vulnerability by changing how ndis.sys validates buffer length. | ||||
| CVE-2026-102560 | 3 Gnome, Libsoup, Redhat | 3 Libsoup, Libsoup, Enterprise Linux | 2026-10-16 | 8.6 High |
| A flaw was found in libsoup. When the permessage-deflate WebSocket extension compresses a very large outgoing message, truncated size calculations used for GByteArray growth could wrap, causing zlib to write past the allocated buffer and resulting in a heap buffer overflow. | ||||
| CVE-2026-102867 | 1 Microsoft | 3 365 Apps, Office 2021, Office 2024 | 2026-10-16 | 6.5 Medium |
| Out-of-bounds read in Microsoft Office Word allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. | ||||
| CVE-2026-104037 | 2 Redhat, Sssd | 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform and 1 more | 2026-10-16 | 5.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in SSSD. A local attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted request with an invalid packet length to the autofs responder UNIX socket. This causes an integer underflow and an out-of-bounds memory read, which can crash the responder process and result in a denial of service (DoS). | ||||

| Out-of-bounds read in DNS Server allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. | ||||
| CVE-2026-111376 | 1 Freerdp | 1 Freerdp | 2026-10-16 | 5 Medium |
| FreeRDP from 3.30.0 before 3.32.0 contains a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the Windows client's CliprdrStream_New that allows malicious RDP servers to trigger invalid memory reads via short clipboard responses. Attackers can answer a FILECONTENTS_SIZE request with a cbRequested of fewer than eight bytes when a user pastes a remote file, crashing the client or corrupting the stream size. | ||||

The size of the corresponding structure is different from that of hfsplus_unistr, so the previous fix (94458781aee6) is insufficient. The pointer on the unicode buffer is still going beyond the allocated memory. This patch introduces two warpper functions hfsplus_uni2asc_xattr_str and hfsplus_uni2asc_str to process two unicode buffers, struct hfsplus_attr_unistr* and struct hfsplus_unistr* respectively. When ustrlen value is bigger than the allocated memory size, the ustrlen value is limited to an safe size. | ||||
| CVE-2025-38375 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-10-15 | 8.4 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio-net: ensure the received length does not exceed allocated size In xdp_linearize_page, when reading the following buffers from the ring, we forget to check the received length with the true allocate size. This can lead to an out-of-bound read. This commit adds that missing check. | ||||
