CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: synproxy: fix unaligned memory access in timestamp adjustment
Use get_unaligned_be32() and put_unaligned_be32() to safely read and
write the timestamp fields. This prevents performance degradation due to
unaligned memory access or even a crash on strict alignment
architectures.
This follows the implementation of timestamp parsing in the networking
stack at tcp_parse_options() and synproxy_parse_options(). |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
hv_netvsc: use kmap_local_page in netvsc_copy_to_send_buf
netvsc_copy_to_send_buf() copies page buffer entries into the VMBus
send buffer using phys_to_virt() on the entry PFN. Entries for the
RNDIS header and the skb linear data come from kmalloc'd memory and
are always in the kernel direct map, but entries for skb fragments
reference page cache or user pages, which on 32-bit x86 with
CONFIG_HIGHMEM=y can live above the LOWMEM boundary. For such a page
phys_to_virt() returns an address outside the direct map and the
subsequent memcpy() faults on the transmit softirq path, which is
fatal.
Map the pages with kmap_local_page() instead, handling two properties
of the page buffer entries:
- pb[i].pfn is a Hyper-V PFN at HV_HYP_PAGE_SIZE (4K) granularity,
not a native PFN. Reconstruct the physical address first and derive
the native page from it, so the mapping stays correct where
PAGE_SIZE > HV_HYP_PAGE_SIZE (e.g. arm64 with 64K pages).
- Since commit 41a6328b2c55 ("hv_netvsc: Preserve contiguous PFN
grouping in the page buffer array"), an entry describes a full
physically contiguous fragment and pb[i].len can exceed PAGE_SIZE,
while kmap_local_page() maps a single page. Copy page by page,
splitting at native page boundaries.
The copy path only handles packets smaller than the send section size
(6144 bytes by default); larger packets take the cp_partial path where
only the RNDIS header is copied. So entries here are bounded by the
section size and a copy is split at most once on 4K-page systems. On
!CONFIG_HIGHMEM configs kmap_local_page() folds to page_address() and
no mapping work is added. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ceph: only d_add() negative dentries when they are unhashed
Ceph can call d_add(dentry, NULL) on a negative dentry that is already
present in the primary dcache hash.
In the current VFS that is not safe. d_add() goes through __d_add()
to __d_rehash(), which unconditionally reinserts dentry->d_hash into
the hlist_bl bucket. If the dentry is already hashed, reinserting the
same node can corrupt the bucket, including creating a self-loop.
Once that happens, __d_lookup() can spin forever in the hlist_bl walk,
typically looping only on the d_name.hash mismatch check and
eventually triggering RCU stall reports like this one:

entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e
This is reachable with reused cached negative dentries. A Ceph lookup
or atomic_open can be handed a negative dentry that is already hashed,
and fs/ceph/dir.c then hits one of two paths that incorrectly assume
"negative" also means "unhashed":
- ceph_finish_lookup():
MDS reply is -ENOENT with no trace
-> d_add(dentry, NULL)
- ceph_lookup():
local ENOENT fast path for a complete directory with shared caps
-> d_add(dentry, NULL)
Both paths can therefore re-add an already-hashed negative dentry.
Ceph already uses the correct pattern elsewhere: ceph_fill_trace() only
calls d_add(dn, NULL) for a negative null-dentry reply when d_unhashed(dn)
is true.
Fix both fs/ceph/dir.c sites the same way: only call d_add() for a
negative dentry when it is actually unhashed. If the negative dentry
is already hashed, leave it in place and reuse it as-is.
This preserves the existing behavior for unhashed dentries while
avoiding d_hash list corruption for reused hashed negatives. |
| For XSA-308 logic was introduced, as VMX VMEntry checks do not like the
exact combination of state which occurs when #DB in intercepted, Single
Stepping is active, and blocked by STI/MovSS is active, despite this being
a legitimate state to be in. The resulting VMEntry failure is fatal to
the guest.
Sadly there is another special sub-case of the above, with branch tracing
enabled. In that case the prior adjustment would still cause a VMentry
failure, as before fatal to the guest. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
IB/hfi1: Fix the PIO_CRED credit-return mmap
hfi1_file_mmap()'s PIO_CRED case must hand user space the single
credit-return page that holds this context's entry. That page is the
second or third page of the per-node credit-return allocation once the
hardware send context index reaches 64 or 128, so the failure below is
intermittent: when the entry lands on the first page the offset is zero
and everything works.
Two things are wrong.
First, cr_page_offset is a byte offset but .va is a struct
credit_return *, so adding it is pointer arithmetic and scales the offset
by sizeof(struct credit_return) == 64. memvirt then lands 256 KiB or
512 KiB past a 10240-byte allocation. With an IOMMU translating, that
address is inside the vmalloc range but in no vm_area, so
dma_mmap_coherent() -> iommu_dma_mmap() finds no pages, vmalloc_to_pfn()
returns page_to_pfn(NULL), and remap_pfn_range() installs a frame above
MAXPHYADDR. The first user read then takes:
psm2_ep_open_pr: Corrupted page table at address 7a14d007e000
PGD 800000013886a067 P4D 800000013886a067 PUD 13886b067 PMD 13886c067
PTE 800049168e911235
Oops: Bad pagetable: 000d [#1] SMP PTI
Second, and still wrong once the arithmetic is corrected,
dma_mmap_coherent() describes a whole coherent buffer and selects the
page within it with vma->vm_pgoff. Offsetting cpu_addr has no effect:
for a vmap'd allocation iommu_dma_mmap() uses cpu_addr only to locate the
vm_area and then maps pages[vm_pgoff], which hfi1_file_mmap() has just
set to 0. User space therefore always receives the first credit-return
page, every credit read is for the wrong context, and send PIO stalls
forever.
Use the DMA API as intended: pass the base of the allocation with its
full length and select the page with vm_pgoff. A separate length is
needed because memlen must keep describing the VMA for the existing size
check. The dma-direct path stays correct as well, since dma_direct_mmap()
adds the same vm_pgoff to the base pfn.
Tested on a Dell T7610 (Xeon E5-2650 v2, Intel IOMMU in DMA-FQ mode)
against a Threadripper PRO 3995WX peer, both Omni-Path 100. Before this
change psm2_ep_open() Oopses the kernel; with only the arithmetic
corrected psm2_ep_open() succeeds but any transfer that uses send PIO
hangs, PSM2_SDMA=2 (send PIO disabled) completing normally while
PSM2_SDMA=0 (send PIO only) hangs every time. With this change send PIO,
send DMA and the default mixed mode all work. |
| The Zabbix Server/Proxy has a vulnerability where binary items can crash the Server/Proxy on certain NULL byte input leading to potential loss of availability. This only affects deployments where MySQL/MariaDB database is used as the Zabbix database. |
| Dancer2 versions from 2.0.0 before 2.2.0 for Perl dispatch a route that a dying hook refused when the exception handler halts the response in compile_hooks.
A hook that dies fires core.app.hook_exception, then calls cleanup unless the failing hook is the exception handler. A handler that halts does not stop that cleanup, which discards the request, response and session the dispatcher has yet to read, so the refused route runs.
The handler has to halt the response object by calling its halt method or setting is_halted: the halt keyword unwinds through with_return before cleanup runs.
A check in a before hook is not enforced: the caller gets the refusal, while the route body runs and its writes land. |
| Ghidra before 12.1.4 fails to validate the TYPE_COL byte in OptionsDB.createUnregisteredOption(), causing an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException that leaves domain objects permanently locked. Attackers can craft a malicious program database file that, when imported, causes the application to stall and prevents resource cleanup or graceful shutdown. |
| Snipe-IT versions before 8.7.0 wipe the database before validating the uploaded backup archive in the restore endpoint. Superusers uploading corrupted or invalid zip files trigger permanent data loss with no recovery path or rollback mechanism. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: nVMX: Hide shadow VMCS right after VMCLEAR
free_nested() frees the shadow VMCS while vmcs01 still points to it. But
because it is asynchronous with respect to loaded_vmcs_clear(), the vCPU
might migrate before the pointer is cleared and __loaded_vmcs_clear()
may then execute VMCLEAR.
The VMCS needs to stay attached until its explicit VMCLEAR completes, but
then it can be hidden and the page safely freed. |
| In Eclipse Milo versions 1.0.0 through 1.1.4, monitored-item quota accounting is not exception-safe: if item creation fails with an unchecked error, the server-global reservation is not restored. Deeply nested PubSub ExtensionObjects in a `CreateMonitoredItems` event filter can trigger a `StackOverflowError` during decoding, allowing an unauthenticated remote client to exhaust a finite global monitored-item quota and prevent all clients from creating new monitored items until restart. Existing monitored items and other server functions remain unaffected. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: s390: pci: fix GAIT table indexing due to double-scaling pointer arithmetic
kvm_s390_pci_aif_enable(), kvm_s390_pci_aif_disable(), and
aen_host_forward() index the GAIT by manually multiplying the index
with sizeof(struct zpci_gaite).
Since aift->gait is already a struct zpci_gaite pointer, this
double-scales the offset, accessing element aisb*16 instead of aisb.
This causes out-of-bounds accesses when aisb >= 32 (with
ZPCI_NR_DEVICES=512)
Fix by removing the erroneous sizeof multiplication. |
| A Return of Pointer Value Outside of Expected Range vulnerability in the fileio library of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a local, low-privilged attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
On EX Series, QFX Series and MX Series a low-privileged attacker issuing a specific 'show l2-learning' or 'show ethernet-switching' command will cause an l2ald crash which will lead to a temporary service impact for all layer 2 services until the process has automatically restarted.

| ModSecurity is an open source, cross platform web application firewall (WAF) engine for Apache, IIS and Nginx. From 3.0.0 through 3.0.15, the t:utf8toUnicode transformation in src/actions/transformations/utf8_to_unicode.cc produces wrong output on i386 architecture because snprintf uses sizeof on a char pointer rather than the length of the unicode buffer, allowing rules that use this transformation to be bypassed on i386 architecture. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.16. |
| Path equivalence: vulnerability in Progress MOVEit Transfer (File Upload modules).
This issue affects MOVEit Transfer: before 2025.0.8, from 2025.1.0 before 2025.1.4. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ARM: 9475/1: entry: use byte load for KASAN VMAP stack shadow
Commit 44e9a3bb76e5 ("ARM: 9430/1: entry: Do a dummy read from
VMAP shadow") added a dummy read from the KASAN VMAP stack shadow in
__switch_to(). The read uses ldr, but the KASAN shadow address is
byte-granular and is not guaranteed to be word aligned.
ARMv5 faults unaligned word loads. With CONFIG_KASAN_VMALLOC and
CONFIG_VMAP_STACK enabled, ARM926/VersatilePB crashes in __switch_to()
with an alignment exception before reaching init.
Use ldrb for the dummy shadow access. The code only needs to fault in the
shadow mapping if the stack shadow is missing, so a byte load is sufficient
and matches the granularity of KASAN shadow memory. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/exynos: vidi: use priv->vidi_dev for ctx lookup in vidi_connection_ioctl()
vidi_connection_ioctl() retrieves the driver_data from drm_dev->dev to
obtain a struct vidi_context pointer. However, drm_dev->dev is the
exynos-drm master device, and the driver_data contained therein is not
the vidi component device, but a completely different device.
This can lead to various bugs, ranging from null pointer dereferences and
garbage value accesses to, in unlucky cases, out-of-bounds errors,
use-after-free errors, and more.
To resolve this issue, we need to store/delete the vidi device pointer in
exynos_drm_private->vidi_dev during bind/unbind, and then read this
exynos_drm_private->vidi_dev within ioctl() to obtain the correct
struct vidi_context pointer. |
| Software installed and run as a non-privileged user may conduct improper GPU system calls to cause mismanagement of a mapping state maintained for a sparse memory allocation.
The product accidentally refers to the wrong memory due to the semantics of how math operations are implicitly scaled across buffers of different sizes. |
