CVE-2026-98409 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watchdog: rtd119x: Avoid division by zero clk_get_rate() could return 0. Avoid a division by zero panic.
CVE-2026-89550 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: SUNRPC: svcauth_gss: enforce krb5 token minimum length svcauth_gss_unwrap_priv() validates only an upper bound on the wire-supplied opaque length before handing the buffer to gss_unwrap(): if (len > xdr_stream_remaining(xdr)) goto unwrap_failed; offset = xdr_stream_pos(xdr); ... maj_stat = gss_unwrap(ctx, offset, offset + len, buf); The wire value `len` flows unchanged as the upper bound into the krb5 unwrap path, so a len in [0, 16] passes this check and is handed to gss_unwrap(). For a krb5 v2 context that lands in gss_krb5_unwrap_v2(), which reads the 16-byte RFC 4121 token header fields at ptr+4 and ptr+6 and then calls rotate_left() before any integrity check. With a sub-header length the header reads run past the token, and _rotate_left()'s `shift %= buf->len` path can divide by zero when buf->len has been driven to zero by the truncated token. A header-only token (len == 16) is equally invalid: with a non-zero RRC field and the opaque blob ending at the XDR buffer boundary, rotate_left() builds a zero-length subbuffer, reaching the same division. Reject the token at the server entry point before it reaches the krb5 unwrap core. A valid sealed RFC 4121 token must contain the 16-byte header plus at least some encrypted payload. Fix by adding a minimum-length check immediately after the existing upper-bound check: if (len <= GSS_KRB5_TOK_HDR_LEN) goto unwrap_failed;
CVE-2026-74449 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-16 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Fix divide-by-zero in calculate_mcache_setting on zero viewport If a plane reaches calculate_mcache_setting with a zero-area viewport, calculate_mcache_setting exits early with num_mcaches == 0 and mvmpg_width/height == 0. This will cause a divide-by-zero panic and can also cause an underflow on num_mcaches. Fix this by changing calculate_mcache_setting to bool and adding guards after each calculate_mcache_row_bytes call. If num_mcaches or mvmpg_width/height is zero, return a false. Callers will propagate the failure as a rejected mode, which prevents the panic. (cherry picked from commit 29c0f7c655f47bcbd575ff75e58480df6ec3c9da)
CVE-2026-98390 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/amd_node: Avoid divide by zero on virtualized systems On a virtualized system, the number of nodes does not have a relationship to the number of roots. A Xen PVH dom0 can calculate roots_per_node as 0, which crashes with a divide by zero in: if (count++ % roots_per_node) because the underlying topology code on Xen ends up making num_nodes 2 and num_roots 1 and the integer division result is 0. The issue is seen with Xen, but it could affect other systems. Set roots_per_node to 1 in this case. Print a firmware bug when this is performed for non-virtualized systems. CVE-2026-98408 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watchdog: rzv2h: Avoid division by zero clk_get_rate() could return 0. Avoid a division by zero panic.
CVE-2018-11212 7 Canonical, Debian, Ijg and 4 more 16 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Libjpeg and 13 more 2026-10-15 N/A
An issue was discovered in libjpeg 9a and 9d. The alloc_sarray function in jmemmgr.c allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (divide-by-zero error) via a crafted file.
CVE-2026-46161 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid10: fix divide-by-zero in setup_geo() with zero far_copies setup_geo() extracts near_copies (nc) and far_copies (fc) from the user-provided layout parameter without checking for zero. When fc=0 with the "improved" far set layout selected, 'geo->far_set_size = disks / fc' triggers a divide-by-zero. Validate nc and fc immediately after extraction, returning -1 if either is zero.
CVE-2026-45841 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nfnetlink_osf: fix divide-by-zero in OSF_WSS_MODULO nf_osf_match_one() computes ctx->window % f->wss.val in the OSF_WSS_MODULO branch with no guard for f->wss.val == 0. A CAP_NET_ADMIN user can add such a fingerprint via nfnetlink; a subsequent matching TCP SYN divides by zero and panics the kernel. Reject the bogus fingerprint in nfnl_osf_add_callback() above the per-option for-loop. f->wss is per-fingerprint, not per-option, so the check must run regardless of f->opt_num (including 0). Also reject wss.wc >= OSF_WSS_MAX; nf_osf_match_one() already treats that as "should not happen". Crash: Oops: divide error: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN NOPTI RIP: 0010:nf_osf_match_one (net/netfilter/nfnetlink_osf.c:98) Call Trace: <IRQ> nf_osf_match (net/netfilter/nfnetlink_osf.c:220) xt_osf_match_packet (net/netfilter/xt_osf.c:32) ipt_do_table (net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.c:348) nf_hook_slow (net/netfilter/core.c:622) ip_local_deliver (net/ipv4/ip_input.c:265) ip_rcv (include/linux/skbuff.h:1162) __netif_receive_skb_one_core (net/core/dev.c:6181) process_backlog (net/core/dev.c:6642) __napi_poll (net/core/dev.c:7710) net_rx_action (net/core/dev.c:7945) handle_softirqs (kernel/softirq.c:622)
CVE-2026-31423 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_hfsc: fix divide-by-zero in rtsc_min() m2sm() converts a u32 slope to a u64 scaled value. For large inputs (e.g. m1=4000000000), the result can reach 2^32. rtsc_min() stores the difference of two such u64 values in a u32 variable `dsm` and uses it as a divisor. When the difference is exactly 2^32 the truncation yields zero, causing a divide-by-zero oops in the concave-curve intersection path: Oops: divide error: 0000 RIP: 0010:rtsc_min (net/sched/sch_hfsc.c:601) Call Trace: init_ed (net/sched/sch_hfsc.c:629) hfsc_enqueue (net/sched/sch_hfsc.c:1569) [...] Widen `dsm` to u64 and replace do_div() with div64_u64() so the full difference is preserved.
CVE-2026-23379 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-15 5.5 Medium

CVE-2026-110605 2026-10-14 5.5 Medium
libschrift through 0.10.2 contains a divide by zero vulnerability that allows attackers to crash applications by supplying a font with unitsPerEm of 0 in the head table. Attackers can provide a crafted TrueType font whose NaN glyph coordinates bypass clip_points(), causing an out-of-bounds raster read in draw_line() during sft_render() and crashing the process.
CVE-2026-109246 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-10-13 6.5 Medium
FreeRDP before 3.32.0 contains a divide-by-zero vulnerability in the freerdp-shadow-cli shadow server: the frame id in a client's Frame Acknowledge PDU is stored without a range check, so the in-flight frame count in shadow_encoder_inflight_frames() can underflow. An authenticated client can acknowledge a frame id one greater than the last frame sent, causing shadow_encoder_create_frame_id() to divide by zero (SIGFPE) and terminate the process, disconnecting all viewers.

CVE-2026-98299 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-06 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: do not let tcp_rmem be set below 4096 We can hit a division by zero crash in tcp_rcvbuf_grow() and tcp_rcv_space_adjust(): divide error: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP RIP: 0010:tcp_rcvbuf_grow+0x187/0x450 net/ipv4/tcp_input.c:939 ... grow = div_u64(((u64)rcvwin << 1) * (newval - oldval), oldval); The division uses oldval = tp->rcvq_space.space as divisor. When tp->rcvq_space.space is zero, this leads to a divide-by-zero exception. tp->rcvq_space.space is initialized in tcp_init_buffer_space(): tp->rcvq_space.space = min3(tp->rcv_ssthresh, tp->rcv_wnd, (u32)TCP_INIT_CWND * tp->advmss); If tcp_rmem[1] is configured to very small values (such as 1), sk->sk_rcvbuf is initialized to 1. Then tcp_full_space(sk), which computes (sk->sk_rcvbuf * scaling_ratio) >> 8, truncates to 0. This sets tp->window_clamp = 0, tp->rcv_ssthresh = 0, and tp->rcvq_space.space = 0. Later, when data arrives and DRS is invoked, tcp_rcvbuf_grow() divides by oldval == 0. Back in 2015, commit b1cb59cf2efe ("net: sysctl_net_core: check SNDBUF and RCVBUF for min length") ensured that net.core.rmem_default and net.core.rmem_max cannot be set below SOCK_MIN_RCVBUF. Similarly, SO_RCVBUF setsockopt enforces max_t(int, val * 2, SOCK_MIN_RCVBUF). However, net.ipv4.tcp_rmem still had .extra1 = SYSCTL_ONE, allowing arbitrarily small values. Because SOCK_MIN_RCVBUF depends on sizeof(struct sk_buff) and cacheline alignment, its value varies across architectures and configuration options. Using a fixed constant of 4096 ensures a predictable, architecture- independent lower bound that is safely above SOCK_MIN_RCVBUF everywhere and matches the documented 4K default. Fix this by setting tcp_rmem.extra1 to 4096 and updating the documentation.
CVE-2026-105250 1 Vgmstream 1 Vgmstream 2026-10-05 4.3 Medium
A security vulnerability has been detected in vgmstream up to r2117. Affected is the function decode_ms_ima of the file src/coding/ima_decoder.c of the component Microsoft IMA Decoder. Such manipulation leads to divide by zero. The attack can be executed remotely.
CVE-2026-97970 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watchdog: msc313e: Avoid division by zero clk_get_rate() could return 0. Avoid a division by zero panic.
CVE-2026-97578 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: verisilicon: rockchip: guard VPU981 AV1 divisor and tile buffer rockchip_vpu981_av1_dec_set_tile_info() divides context_update_tile_id by tile_info->tile_cols and writes one descriptor per tile into the tile_info DMA buffer, which holds AV1_MAX_TILES entries; tile_cols and tile_rows come from the bitstream. Guard the division against a zero tile_cols by initialising the context-update values to zero and computing them only when tile_cols is non-zero, and stop the descriptor writes once the tile_info buffer is full. The tile geometry written to the hardware registers is left unmodified; the per-dimension and total tile bounds are enforced by the control validation.
