CVSS v3.1 |
| CAI Content Credentials is affected by an Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability that could lead to application denial-of-service. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to exhaust system resources, resulting in an application denial-of-service condition. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. |

| A denial of service vulnerability exists when Microsoft Common Object Runtime Library improperly handles web requests. An attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability could cause a denial of service against a .NET web application.
A remote unauthenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by issuing specially crafted requests to the .NET application.
The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how the .NET web application handles web requests. |
| Inefficient algorithmic complexity in .NET allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. |

| A vulnerability was determined in Konstanty Bialkowski libmodplug up to 0.8.9.1. This issue affects the function abc_add_gchord of the file src/load_abc.cpp of the component ABC Music Format Parser. This manipulation causes resource consumption. The attack may be initiated remotely. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| SillyTavern 1.12.13 through 1.19.0 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to exhaust resources because body-parser middleware runs before authentication and whitelist checks. Attackers can send large or compressed JSON or urlencoded bodies up to 500 MB, optionally in parallel, to exhaust memory and CPU and deny service. |
| Trilium is an open-source hierarchical note-taking application. In versions prior to 0.104.0, the automatic image-download feature accepts file:// URLs in a note's img tags and reads the referenced local file with no path validation, allowing any authenticated user to disclose arbitrary files readable by the Trilium process. When a text note is saved, Trilium scans its HTML for image sources and downloads each external one; because the HTML sanitizer keeps file as an allowed scheme, a source such as file:///etc/passwd is passed straight to a filesystem read and its contents are stored as a note attachment the user can then retrieve. Pointing the same primitive at an unbounded source such as /dev/zero causes uncontrolled memory allocation that crashes the server process. The feature is enabled by default and is reachable through the web UI, the ETAPI, the web clipper, and note imports, requiring only an authenticated session or an ETAPI token. This issue is fixed in version 0.104.0 |
| Gitea does not limit the length of the gitignores field accepted by repository-creation forms and the API. Repository initialization splits the field into template names, repeatedly reads the referenced templates, and buffers their contents in memory. An attacker who can create repositories can submit an oversized value to amplify template reads and memory use, impairing availability. |
| Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 20.3.32, 21.2.24, and 22.2.0, the @angular/router URL parser stores numeric matrix parameter names and numeric outlet names as properties on initially empty JavaScript objects during Node.js server-side rendering. V8 can interpret these URL-derived keys as array indices and allocate dense backing stores sized to high numeric values, so repeated small path segments cause disproportionate per-segment heap consumption. An unauthenticated attacker can send overlapping requests containing repeated numeric matrix parameters when SSR is enabled, the router directly parses the request URL, and upstream proxies allow semicolons and multiple path segments, eventually exhausting the Node.js old-space heap and terminating the SSR worker. Pure client-side Angular applications are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 20.3.32, 21.2.24, and 22.2.0. |
| OpenDocMan 2.4.0 through 2.10.0 contains a decompression bomb vulnerability that allows authenticated users to exhaust PHP memory by uploading crafted office documents. Attackers can upload a small ODT, DOCX, or XLSX file whose XML entries decompress to hundreds of megabytes, crashing PHP workers and degrading availability. |
| OW2 ASM 3.0 before 9.11 contains an uncontrolled memory allocation vulnerability in the asm-commons JSRInlinerAdapter that inlines JSR/RET subroutines without memory or work limits. Attackers can supply a crafted class file with nested subroutines to force O(2^n) memory allocation, causing an OutOfMemoryError that crashes the JVM. |
| OW2 ASM 3.0 before 9.11 contains a denial of service vulnerability that allows attackers to exhaust CPU by supplying crafted class files processed with ClassWriter.COMPUTE_FRAMES. Attackers can craft methods that make the unbounded MethodWriter.computeAllFrames() fix point algorithm converge slowly, tying up transforming threads for unbounded time. |
| OW2 ASM 3.0 before 9.11 contains a quadratic memory allocation vulnerability in MethodWriter.computeMaxStackAndLocal() and computeAllFrames() when using COMPUTE_MAXS or COMPUTE_FRAMES. Attackers can supply a crafted class file with thousands of overlapping exception handlers, causing excessive Edge allocations and an OutOfMemoryError that crashes the JVM. |
| In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.3, 10.2.7, and 10.0.10, a low-privileged user that does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could cause a denial of service against a Representational State Transfer (REST) API endpoint in the Discover Splunk Observability Cloud app. The vulnerability is possible because the app uses an inefficient regular expression to validate input submitted through the endpoint. For more information see About configuring role-based user access (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/manage-users-and-security/10.4/manage-splunk-platform-users-and-roles/about-configuring-role-based-user-access), Splunk Observability Cloud previews (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/search/search-manual/10.4/observability/splunk-observability-cloud-previews), and restmap.conf (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/admin-manual/10.4/configuration-file-reference/10.4.0-configuration-file-reference/restmap.conf) in the Splunk documentation.
Splunk Enterprise versions 9.4.x are not affected. |
| ageLANServer provides a cross-platform web server and launcher for offline multiplayer in several Age of Empires and Age of Mythology games. Prior to version 1.15.2, the AoE3 POST /game/cloud/getFileURL handler in the bundled game server has no request body size limit or cap on the attacker-controlled JSON names array and allocates response storage directly from the unbounded array length. A remote unauthenticated client can use the default self-registration flow and send an oversized request that causes excessive memory allocation, crashes or hangs the server process, disconnects active players, and keeps the service unavailable until it is restarted. This issue is fixed in version 1.15.2. |
| pyLoad is a free and open-source download manager written in Python. Prior to 0.5.0b3.dev101, the API `rpc` function in `api_blueprint.py` handles `multipart/form-data` uploads by reading the whole content of the uploaded file into memory with `file.read()`. This occurs before the data is sent to the underlying function. Since there is no size limit set at this point, a large file upload can exhaust the server's available memory which led to process termination. Version 0.5.0b3.dev101 contains a patch. |
| With its original introduction, GNTTAB_cache_flush was made available
uniformly. XSA-232 (CVE-2017-14318) then covered an omitted NULL
pointer check, yet the addition of that check failed to adjust the
subsequent error path. That error path fails to drop a page reference in
case the specified page is owned by a special system domain (DOM_IO and
DOM_COW are system domains which can have memory pages assigned to them.) |
