| A Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in the secure-dot1xd process of Juniper Networks on Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an unauthenticated adjacent network attacker to execute code as root or cause a denial of service via an EAPOL frame sent to an 802.1X-authenticated interface. |

| When the PCM sample array needs to grow, the RACK stack doubles a 16-bit allocation counter. Repeated doublings caused the counter to wrap to zero, resulting in a near-zero-length allocation followed by a copy of the existing samples into the undersized buffer. A remote peer can trigger the expansion by sending a sufficient number of ACKs on an established connection.
A remote attacker who can establish a TCP connection to a system using the RACK stack can trigger an out-of-bounds write of approximately 512 KB in the kernel heap possibly resulting in a kernel panic. |
| A Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in eventd of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved on all platforms allows an unprivileged local attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) or achieve privilege escalation to root via crafted IPC event messages. |

| PJSIP is a free and open source multimedia communication library written in C. In 2.17 and earlier, the PJSIP AVI parser in pjmedia/src/pjmedia/avi_player.c uses an input-file video chunk length as the number of bytes copied into a frame buffer whose capacity is derived from the declared media dimensions. A crafted AVI file can therefore cause an attacker-controlled out-of-bounds write past the heap allocation when an application plays the file or pulls its frames. The existing size assertion does not protect production release builds, where assertions are disabled. Typical local playback can crash the process, while applications that accept untrusted AVI sources expose a stronger memory-corruption condition. No fixed version is available as of this review. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: reject oversized IBs with per-ring packet limits
On GFX rings, amdgpu_cs_p2_ib() passed user-supplied ib_bytes through
to ib->length_dw without a limit, while ring_emit_ib() encodes length
into packet fields. Oversized values can corrupt adjacent control bits
and destabilize command submission.
Add a per-ring IB packet size limit helper and reject command
submissions exceeding the corresponding dword limit before IB
allocation. Use the documented 20-bit limit for GFX/compute/SDMA/VPE,
and apply the MM fallback limit for other ring types.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
octeontx2-af: Block VFs from clobbering special CGX PKIND state
PF and VF NIX LFs that share a CGX LMAC reuse the same hardware PKIND
programming. When HiGig2 or EDSA parsing is enabled, a VF NIX LF alloc must
not reset the LMAC RX PKIND or default TX parse config over the PF setup.
Add cgx_get_pkind() and rvu_cgx_is_pkind_config_permitted() so VFs skip
cgx_set_pkind(), rvu_npc_set_pkind(), and NIX_AF_LFX_TX_PARSE_CFG updates
when the LMAC is using NPC_RX_HIGIG_PKIND or NPC_RX_EDSA_PKIND. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
veth: convert frag_list skbs before running XDP
A frag_list skb can reach veth with data_len set but nr_frags zero.
veth_convert_skb_to_xdp_buff() only converts skbs that are shared,
locked, have frags[], or do not have enough headroom. It later uses
skb_is_nonlinear() to decide whether to set XDP_FLAGS_HAS_FRAGS and
xdp_frags_size.
That exposes frag_list data to XDP as if it were stored in frags[], but
frags[] is empty. AF_XDP copy mode can then trust the bogus XDP fragment
metadata, walk an empty fragment entry, and crash in memcpy() from
__xsk_rcv().
Route non-linear skbs through skb_pp_cow_data() before exposing them to
XDP, and only advertise XDP frags when the resulting skb has frags[].
skb_copy_bits() already handles frag_list input, and skb_pp_cow_data()
builds frags[] output with skb_add_rx_frag(), which is the
representation XDP multi-buffer expects. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: rtw89: fix wrong pci_get_drvdata type in AER handlers
rtw89 stores an ieee80211_hw pointer via pci_set_drvdata() at probe
time, but io_error_detected() and io_resume() retrieve it as a
net_device pointer. This causes netif_device_detach/attach to
operate on an ieee80211_hw struct, reading and writing at wrong
offsets. The adjacent io_slot_reset() already does it correctly.
Use ieee80211_stop_queues/wake_queues instead, consistent with
every other queue stop/start path in the driver.
Tested on RTL8852CE by calling the handlers from a test module
before and after the fix. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Account allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Mongoose is an embedded web server and network library. Prior to 7.23, ppp_handle_ipv6cp() in src/l2_ppp.c trusts the 16-bit IPv6CP len field without checking it against the received payload size. On a PPP or PPPoE link using MG_ENABLE_TCPIP and MG_ENABLE_IPV6, an unauthenticated adjacent peer can complete the required LCP exchange and send a short Configure-Request with an oversized length, causing ppp_tx_frame() to read beyond recv_queue.buf and write beyond tx.buf. The same length misuse can also expose adjacent heap bytes in a reply or hang the event loop through find_opt(). This issue is fixed in version 7.23. |
