CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: gadget: f_ncm: validate minimum block_len in ncm_unwrap_ntb()
The block_len read from the host-supplied NTB header is checked against
ntb_max but has no lower bound. When block_len is smaller than
opts->ndp_size, the bounds check of:
ndp_index > (block_len - opts->ndp_size)
will underflow producing a huge unsigned value that ndp_index can never
exceed, defeating the check entirely.
The same underflow occurs in the datagram index checks against block_len
- opts->dpe_size. With those checks neutered, a malicious USB host can
choose ndp_index and datagram offsets that point past the actual
transfer, and the skb_put_data() copies adjacent kernel memory into the
network skb.
Fix this by rejecting block lengths that cannot hold at least the NTB
header plus one NDP. This will make block_len - opts->ndp_size and
block_len - opts->dpe_size both well-defined.
Commit 8d2b1a1ec9f5 ("CDC-NCM: avoid overflow in sanity checking") fixed
a related class of issues on the host side of NCM. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/x25: Fix overflow when accumulating packets
Add a check to ensure that `x25_sock.fraglen` does not overflow.
The `fraglen` also needs to be resetted when purging `fragment_queue` in
`x25_clear_queues()`. |
| MOOS essential-moos through 10.0.1 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in CMOOSUDPLink::ReadPktFromArray() that allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory by sending UDP datagrams with negative declared lengths. Attackers can send crafted UDP packets to the configured UDPListen port to trigger an oversized memcpy operation that writes past the destination buffer, causing heap corruption and denial of service. |
| An Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound) vulnerability in the srxpfe of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved on the SRX Series allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker to cause a forwarding-plane denial of service via an ICMP message associated with an SVR carrier session. |
| A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. A guest with runt RX descriptors can underflow the copy length in vhost enqueue, causing a denial of service in a shared vhost backend such as OVS-DPDK. |
| Mongoose is an embedded web server and network library. Prior to 7.23, the built-in TLS stack selected by MG_TLS_BUILTIN in src/tls_builtin.c accepts a TLS 1.3 record whose decrypted size is exactly the 16-byte authentication tag with no plaintext or ContentType byte. In mg_tls_recv_record(), the msgsz length check permits that record and the recv_len calculation underflows to SIZE_MAX, so a later handshake step treats stale buffer contents as a trusted message with an effectively unbounded length. An unauthenticated malicious TLS peer can trigger a heap out-of-bounds read before certificate or Finished validation, causing a remote denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 7.23. |
| A vulnerability has been identified in APOGEE MBC (PPC) (BACnet) (All versions), APOGEE MBC (PPC) (P2 Ethernet) (All versions), APOGEE MEC (PPC) (BACnet) (All versions), APOGEE MEC (PPC) (P2 Ethernet) (All versions), APOGEE PXC Compact (BACnet) (All versions < V3.5.7), APOGEE PXC Compact (P2 Ethernet) (All versions < V2.8.21), APOGEE PXC Modular (BACnet) (All versions < V3.5.7), APOGEE PXC Modular (P2 Ethernet) (All versions < V2.8.21), TALON TC Compact (BACnet) (All versions < V3.5.7), TALON TC Modular (BACnet) (All versions < V3.5.7). The affected product web service does not properly validate the length of user-controllable input. This could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to read portions of device memory or to cause a denial-of-service condition. |
| Integer underflow (wrap or wraparound) in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| The openUBMC device-management process parses PLDM-over-MCTP and NCSI-over-MCTP responses from on-bus devices, and three response parsers in the shared transport libraries subtract a fixed header or reserved-field size from a device-supplied response length without a lower-bound check. An undersized response wraps the unsigned length difference to a very large value, and the parser then reads far past the response buffer. The affected code sits in the base (non-vendor) PLDM control class and the Huawei NCSI driver, so it is reachable for any PLDM endpoint or Huawei NIC on the internal management bus, unlike the vendor-specific wangxun parser tracked separately. |
| A flaw was found in GLib. A state confusion issue exists in g_dbus_node_info_new_for_xml() in the gio/gdbusintrospection.c file when processing malformed D-Bus introspection XML, specifically with a `node` element nested within other elements like `method`, `signal`, `property` or `arg`. This issue can cause an unsigned integer overflow and lead to an out-of-bounds read, resulting in a denial of service. |
| A flaw in GnuTLS DTLS handshake parsing allows malformed fragments with zero length and non-zero offset, leading to an integer underflow during reassembly and resulting in an out-of-bounds read. This issue is remotely exploitable and may cause information disclosure or denial of service. |
| Buffer over-read in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to disclose information over a network. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Office Excel allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| An Integer Underflow (Wrap or Wraparound) vulnerability in the rpd process of Juniper Networks Junos OS on EX Series and MX Series, and Junos OS Evolved on ACX Series allows an unauthenticated adjacent attacker to cause heap memory disclosure and multicast join-state injection via a malformed Rosen-MVPN message.
This issue only affects platforms that support draft Rosen MVPN, such as the ACX Series, EX Series, and MX Series. |
| libsmb2 through 6.2 contains an integer underflow vulnerability in decode_acl that allows malicious SMB servers to trigger heap out-of-bounds reads via crafted security descriptors. Attackers controlling a server or intercepting unsigned sessions can send an AclSize below 8 in a QUERY_INFO reply, bypassing ACE bounds checks and crashing the client. |
| Integer underflow (wrap or wraparound) in Windows Failover Cluster allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Network Policy Server (NPS) allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Storage Spaces Controller allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Integer underflow (wrap or wraparound) in Windows Bluetooth A2DP driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over an adjacent network. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Event Tracing allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code locally. |
