CVSS v3.1 |
| A local privilege escalation vulnerability exists in Agnitum Outpost Internet Security 8.1 that allows an unprivileged user to execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges. The flaw resides in the acs.exe component, which exposes a named pipe that accepts unauthenticated commands. By exploiting a directory traversal weakness in the pipe protocol, an attacker can instruct the service to load a malicious DLL from a user-controlled location. The DLL is then executed in the context of the privileged service. |
| An unauthenticated directory traversal vulnerability exists in Polyaxon, affecting the latest version. This vulnerability allows an attacker to retrieve directory information and file contents from the server without proper authorization, leading to sensitive information disclosure. The issue enables access to system directories such as `/etc`, potentially resulting in significant security risks. |
| Uptime Kuma is an open source, self-hosted monitoring tool. An **Improper URL Handling Vulnerability** allows an attacker to access sensitive local files on the server by exploiting the `file:///` protocol. This vulnerability is triggered via the **"real-browser"** request type, which takes a screenshot of the URL provided by the attacker. By supplying local file paths, such as `file:///etc/passwd`, an attacker can read sensitive data from the server. This vulnerability arises because the system does not properly validate or sanitize the user input for the URL field. Specifically: 1. The URL input (`<input data-v-5f5c86d7="" id="url" type="url" class="form-control" pattern="https?://.+" required="">`) allows users to input arbitrary file paths, including those using the `file:///` protocol, without server-side validation. 2. The server then uses the user-provided URL to make a request, passing it to a browser instance that performs the "real-browser" request, which takes a screenshot of the content at the given URL. If a local file path is entered (e.g., `file:///etc/passwd`), the browser fetches and captures the file’s content. Since the user input is not validated, an attacker can manipulate the URL to request local files (e.g., `file:///etc/passwd`), and the system will capture a screenshot of the file's content, potentially exposing sensitive data. Any **authenticated user** who can submit a URL in "real-browser" mode is at risk of exposing sensitive data through screenshots of these files. This issue has been addressed in version 1.23.16 and all users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. |
| A Path Traversal "Zip Slip" vulnerability has been identified in mholt/archiver in Go. This vulnerability allows using a crafted ZIP file containing path traversal symlinks to create or overwrite files with the user's privileges or application utilizing the library.
When using the archiver.Unarchive functionality with ZIP files, like this: archiver.Unarchive(zipFile, outputDir), A crafted ZIP file can be extracted in such a way that it writes files to the affected system with the same privileges as the application executing this vulnerable functionality. Consequently, sensitive files may be overwritten, potentially leading to privilege escalation, code execution, and other severe outcomes in some cases.
It's worth noting that a similar vulnerability was found in TAR files (CVE-2024-0406). Although a fix was implemented, it hasn't been officially released, and the affected project has since been deprecated. The successor to mholt/archiver is a new project called mholt/archives, and its initial release (v0.1.0) removes the Unarchive() functionality. |
| A path traversal vulnerability has been identified in certain router models. A remote, authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability to write files outside the intended directory, potentially affecting device integrity.
Refer to the 'Security Update for ASUS Router Firmware' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| Improper input sanitization in the file archives upload functionality of Eaton Galileo software allows traversing paths which could lead into an attacker with local access to execute unauthorized code or commands. This security issue has been fixed in the latest version of Galileo which is available on the Eaton download center. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in Four-Faith Water Conservancy Informatization Platform up to 2.2. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file /stAlarmConfigure/index.do/../../aloneReport/download.do;otherlogout.do. Such manipulation of the argument fileName leads to path traversal. The attack may be performed from remote. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Allegra DatabaseBackupBL Directory Traversal Information Disclosure Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Allegra. Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the DatabaseBackupBL class. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied path prior to using it in file operations. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose information in the context of the service account. Was ZDI-CAN-27136. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in Shazwazza Smidge up to 4.5.1. The impacted element is an unknown function of the component Bundle Handler. The manipulation of the argument Version leads to path traversal. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. Upgrading to version 4.6.0 is sufficient to resolve this issue. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. |
| Versions of the package mammoth from 0.3.25 and before 1.11.0; versions of the package mammoth from 0.3.25 and before 1.11.0; versions of the package mammoth before 1.11.0; versions of the package org.zwobble.mammoth:mammoth before 1.11.0 are vulnerable to Directory Traversal due to the lack of path or file type validation when processing a docx file containing an image with an external link (r:link attribute instead of embedded r:embed). The library resolves the URI to a file path and after reading, the content is encoded as base64 and included in the HTML output as a data URI. An attacker can read arbitrary files on the system where the conversion is performed or cause an excessive resources consumption by crafting a docx file that links to special device files such as /dev/random or /dev/zero. |
| A path traversal vulnerability exists in multiple models of Selea Targa IP OCR-ANPR cameras, including iZero, Targa 512, Targa 504, Targa Semplice, Targa 704 TKM, Targa 805, Targa 710 INOX, Targa 750, and Targa 704 ILB. The /common/get_file.php script in the “Download Archive in Storage” page fails to properly validate user-supplied input to the file parameter. Unauthenticated remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability to read arbitrary files on the device, including sensitive system files containing cleartext credentials, potentially leading to authentication bypass and exposure of system information. Exploitation evidence was observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2025-02-02 UTC. |
| A path traversal vulnerability exists in the web management interface of D-Link DSL-2730U, DSL-2750U, and DSL-2750E ADSL routers with firmware versions IN_1.02, SEA_1.04, and SEA_1.07. The vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation on the getpage parameter within the /cgi-bin/webproc CGI script. This flaw allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to perform path traversal attacks by supplying crafted requests, enabling arbitrary file read on the affected device. Exploitation evidence was observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2025-02-04 UTC. |
| GitForge.jl is a unified interface for interacting with Git "forges." Versions prior to 0.4.3 lack input validation for user provided values in certain functions. In the `GitForge.get_repo` function for GitHub, the user can provide any string for the owner and repo fields. These inputs are not validated or safely encoded and are sent directly to the server. This means a user can add path traversal patterns like `../` in the input to access any other endpoints on api.github.com that were not intended. Version 0.4.3 contains a patch for the issue. No known workarounds are available. |
| BBOT's unarchive module could be abused by supplying malicious archives files and when extracted can then perform an arbitrary file write, resulting in remote code execution. |
| PNETLab 4.2.10 does not properly sanitize user inputs in its file access mechanisms. This allows attackers to perform directory traversal by manipulating file paths in HTTP requests. Specifically, the application is vulnerable to requests that access sensitive files outside the intended directory. |
| CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability exists that could cause remote code execution when an authenticated attacker with admin privileges uploads a malicious file over HTTP which then gets executed. |
| An attacker with authenticated and privileged access could modify the contents of a non-sensitive file by traversing the path in the limited shell of the CLI. This security issue has been fixed in the latest version of NMC G2 which is available on the Eaton download center. |
| ITCube CRM in versions from 2023.2 through 2025.2 is vulnerable to path traversal. Unauthenticated remote attacker is able to exploit vulnerable parameter fileName and construct payloads that allow to download any file accessible by the the web server process. |
| matrix-rust-sdk is an implementation of a Matrix client-server library in Rust. Versions of the matrix-sdk-crypto Rust crate before 0.8.0 lack a dedicated mechanism to notify that a user's cryptographic identity has changed from a verified to an unverified one, which could cause client applications relying on the SDK to overlook such changes. matrix-sdk-crypto 0.8.0 adds a new VerificationLevel::VerificationViolation enum variant which indicates that a previously verified identity has been changed. |
| The pathname of the root directory to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in Korenix JetPort 5601 allows Path Traversal. This issue affects JetPort 5601: through 1.2. |
