CVSS v3.1 |
| A Missing Authorization vulnerability in the CLI of Juniper Networks Junos OS on EX Series allows a local, authenticated attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
On EX2300, EX4000, EX4100, EX4300-MP (Multigigabit) and EX4400 switches, an authenticated, local attacker with no specific permissions or class can execute a specific, privileged CLI 'request' command which will cause complete traffic impact until the system automatically recovers.
This issue affects Junos OS on EX2300, EX4000, EX4100, EX4300-MP (Multigigabit) and EX4400:
* 23.2R2 versions before 23.2R2-S6,
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S8,
* 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S4,
* 24.4 versions before 24.4R2-S3,
* 25.2 versions before 25.2R2,
* 25.4 versions before 25.4R1-S1. |
| A Concurrent Execution using Shared Resource with Improper Synchronization ('Race Condition') vulnerability in the packet forwarding engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
As part of the stateful traffic processing on SRX Series devices flows are being established, and removed when not needed anymore. During the removal process the timeout of a flow should be set to 3 seconds and consequentially the flow should be removed shortly after. Due to a race condition occurring when setting the timeout there is a chance (the exact conditions are outside the attackers control) that the timeout is instead set to a very high value of larger than 10,000 seconds:
user@host> show security flow session | match timeout
Session ID: 98784248524, Policy name: PROD-FLOW/4, HA State: Active, Timeout: 85250, Session State: Valid
This will lead to an accumulation of flows which can be observed by an ever-increasing value of invalidated sessions in the output of 'show security flow session summary':
user@host> show security flow session summary | match invalid
Invalidated sessions: 216931These sessions can't be cleared manually with the 'clear security flow session' command, which will either lead to forwarding to stop (and the system needs to be manually recovered with a reboot) or to a flowd core and automatic reboot.
This issue affects Junos OS on SRX Series:
* 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S3,
* 24.4 versions before 24.4R2-S1, 24.4R2-S2,
* 25.2 versions before 25.2R1-S2, 25.2R2.
This issue does not affect releases earlier than 24.2R1; |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in the Juniper HTTP Service allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted HTTP packet. NOTE: as of 20071016, the only disclosure is a vague pre-advisory with no actionable information. However, since it is from a well-known researcher, it is being assigned a CVE identifier for tracking purposes. |
| The Device Mapper multipathing driver (aka multipath-tools or device-mapper-multipath) 0.4.8, as used in SUSE openSUSE, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), Fedora, and possibly other operating systems, uses world-writable permissions for the socket file (aka /var/run/multipathd.sock), which allows local users to send arbitrary commands to the multipath daemon. |
| Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in dana-na/auth/rdremediate.cgi in Juniper Networks Secure Access 2000 5.5 R1 build 11711 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the delivery_mode parameter. |
| Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the J-Web interface in Juniper JUNOS 8.5R1.14 allow remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the host parameter to (1) the pinghost program, reachable through the diagnose program; or (2) the traceroute program, reachable through the diagnose program; or (3) the probe-limit parameter to the configuration program; the (4) wizard-ids or (5) pager-new-identifier parameter in a firewall-filters action to the configuration program; (6) the cos-physical-interface-name parameter in a cos-physical-interfaces-edit action to the configuration program; the (7) wizard-args or (8) wizard-ids parameter in an snmp action to the configuration program; the (9) username or (10) fullname parameter in a users action to the configuration program; or the (11) certname or (12) certbody parameter in a local-cert (aka https) action to the configuration program. |
| The IPv6 Neighbor Discovery Protocol (NDP) implementation in (1) FreeBSD 6.3 through 7.1, (2) OpenBSD 4.2 and 4.3, (3) NetBSD, (4) Force10 FTOS before E7.7.1.1, (5) Juniper JUNOS, and (6) Wind River VxWorks 5.x through 6.4 does not validate the origin of Neighbor Discovery messages, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (loss of connectivity) or read private network traffic via a spoofed message that modifies the Forward Information Base (FIB). |
| Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the J-Web interface in Juniper JUNOS 8.5R1.14 and 9.0R1.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the PATH_INFO to the default URI. |
| udev before 1.4.1 does not verify whether a NETLINK message originates from kernel space, which allows local users to gain privileges by sending a NETLINK message from user space. |
| Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in Juniper NetScreen ScreenOS before 5.4r10, 6.0r6, and 6.1r2 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the user name parameter to the (1) web interface login page or the (2) telnet login page. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in Juniper JUNOS 7.3 through 8.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via malformed BGP packets, possibly BGP UPDATE packets that trigger session flapping. |
| SNMPv3 HMAC verification in (1) Net-SNMP 5.2.x before 5.2.4.1, 5.3.x before 5.3.2.1, and 5.4.x before 5.4.1.1; (2) UCD-SNMP; (3) eCos; (4) Juniper Session and Resource Control (SRC) C-series 1.0.0 through 2.0.0; (5) NetApp (aka Network Appliance) Data ONTAP 7.3RC1 and 7.3RC2; (6) SNMP Research before 16.2; (7) multiple Cisco IOS, CatOS, ACE, and Nexus products; (8) Ingate Firewall 3.1.0 and later and SIParator 3.1.0 and later; (9) HP OpenView SNMP Emanate Master Agent 15.x; and possibly other products relies on the client to specify the HMAC length, which makes it easier for remote attackers to bypass SNMP authentication via a length value of 1, which only checks the first byte. |
| Juniper Networks Secure Access 2000 5.5 R1 (build 11711) allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a direct request for remediate.cgi without certain parameters, which reveals the path in an "Execute failed" error message. |
| Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the J-Web interface in Juniper JUNOS 8.5R1.14 allow remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via (1) the JEXEC_OUTID parameter in a JEXEC_MODE_RELAY_OUTPUT action to the jexec program; the (2) act, (3) refresh-time, or (4) ifid parameter to scripter.php; (5) the revision parameter in a rollback action to the configuration program; the m[] parameter to the (6) monitor, (7) manage, (8) events, (9) configuration, or (10) alarms program; (11) the m[] parameter to the default URI; (12) the m[] parameter in a browse action to the default URI; (13) the wizard-next parameter in an https action to the configuration program; or the (14) Contact Information, (15) System Description, (16) Local Engine ID, (17) System Location, or (18) System Name Override SNMP parameter, related to the configuration program. |
| An OS Command Injection vulnerability in the CLI processing of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a local, high-privileged attacker executing specific, crafted CLI commands to inject arbitrary shell commands as root, leading to a complete compromise of the system.
Certain 'set system' commands, when executed with crafted arguments, are not properly sanitized, allowing for arbitrary shell injection. These shell commands are executed as root, potentially allowing for complete control of the vulnerable system.

| An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the packet forwarding engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on EX4k Series and QFX5k Series platforms allows an unauthenticated network-adjacent attacker flapping an interface to cause traffic between VXLAN Network Identifiers (VNIs) to drop, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).
On all EX4k and QFX5k platforms, a link flap in an
EVPN-VXLAN configuration Link Aggregation Group (LAG)
results in Inter-VNI traffic dropping when there are multiple load-balanced next-hop routes for the same destination.
This issue is only applicable to systems that support EVPN-VXLAN Virtual Port-Link Aggregation Groups (VPLAG), such as the QFX5110, QFX5120, QFX5200, EX4100, EX4300, EX4400, and EX4650.
Service can only be restored by restarting the affected FPC via the 'request chassis fpc restart slot <slot-number>' command.
This issue affects Junos OS
on EX4k and QFX5k Series:
* all versions before 21.4R3-S12,
* all versions of 22.2
* from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S8,
* from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S5,
* from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S5,
* from 24.2 before 24.2R2-S3,
* from 24.4 before 24.4R2. |
| A Use After Free vulnerability in the chassis daemon (chassisd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a network-based attacker authenticated with low privileges to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
When telemetry collectors are frequently subscribing and unsubscribing to sensors continuously over a long period of time, telemetry-capable processes like chassisd, rpd or mib2d will crash and restart, which - depending on the process - can cause a complete outage until the system has recovered.
This issue affects:
Junos OS:
* all versions before 22.4R3-S8,
* 23.2 versions before 23.2R2-S5,
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R2;
Junos OS Evolved:
* all versions before 22.4R3-S8-EVO,
* 23.2 versions before 23.2R2-S5-EVO,
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-EVO. |
| An Unchecked Return Value vulnerability in the DNS module of Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
If an SRX Series device configured for DNS processing, receives a specifically formatted DNS request flowd will crash and restart, which causes a service interruption until the process has recovered.
This issue affects Junos OS on SRX Series:
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S5,
* 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S1,
* 24.4 versions before 24.4R2.
This issue does not affect Junos OS versions before 23.4R1. |
| An Incorrect Initialization of Resource vulnerability in the packet forwarding engine (pfe) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on specific EX Series and QFX Series device allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause an integrity impact to downstream networks.
When the same family inet or inet6 filter is applied on an IRB interface and on a physical interface as egress filter on EX4100, EX4400, EX4650 and QFX5120 devices, only one of the two filters will be applied, which can lead to traffic being sent out one of these interfaces which should have been blocked.
This issue affects Junos OS on EX Series and QFX Series:
* 23.4 version 23.4R2-S6,
* 24.2 version 24.2R2-S3.
No other Junos OS versions are affected. |
