CVSS v3.1 |
| Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. From 1.0.0 to before 1.15.2, he Axios library is vulnerable to a Prototype Pollution "Gadget" attack that allows any Object.prototype pollution in the application's dependency tree to be escalated into surgical, invisible modification of all JSON API responses — including privilege escalation, balance manipulation, and authorization bypass. The default transformResponse function at lib/defaults/index.js:124 calls JSON.parse(data, this.parseReviver), where this is the merged config object. Because parseReviver is not present in Axios defaults, not validated by assertOptions, and not subject to any constraints, a polluted Object.prototype.parseReviver function is called for every key-value pair in every JSON response, allowing the attacker to selectively modify individual values while leaving the rest of the response intact. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.15.2. |
| A vulnerability was found in Samba where a delegated administrator with permission to create objects in Active Directory can write to all attributes of the newly created object, including security-sensitive attributes, even after the object's creation. This issue occurs because the administrator owns the object due to the lack of an Access Control List (ACL) at the time of creation and later being recognized as the 'creator owner.' The retained significant rights of the delegated administrator may not be well understood, potentially leading to unintended privilege escalation or security risks. |
| A flaw was found in the github.com/containers/image library. This flaw allows attackers to trigger unexpected authenticated registry accesses on behalf of a victim user, causing resource exhaustion, local path traversal, and other attacks. |
| A flaw was found in glib. Missing validation of offset and count parameters in the g_buffered_input_stream_peek() function can lead to an integer overflow during length calculation. When specially crafted values are provided, this overflow results in an incorrect size being passed to memcpy(), triggering a buffer overflow. This can cause application crashes, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). |
| A vulnerability was found in Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O. A symlink traversal vulnerability in the containers/storage library can cause Podman, Buildah, and CRI-O to hang and result in a denial of service via OOM kill when running a malicious image using an automatically assigned user namespace (`--userns=auto` in Podman and Buildah). The containers/storage library will read /etc/passwd inside the container, but does not properly validate if that file is a symlink, which can be used to cause the library to read an arbitrary file on the host. |
| An API design flaw in WebKitGTK and WPE WebKit allows untrusted web content to unexpectedly perform IP connections, DNS lookups, and HTTP requests. Applications expect to use the
WebPage::send-request signal handler to approve or reject all network requests. However, certain types of HTTP requests bypass this signal handler. |
| A flaw was found in the Submariner project. Due to unnecessary role-based access control permissions, a privileged attacker can run a malicious container on a node that may allow them to steal service account tokens and further compromise other nodes and potentially the entire cluster. |
| A vulnerability was found in CRI-O, where it can be requested to take a checkpoint archive of a container and later be asked to restore it. When it does that restoration, it attempts to restore the mounts from the restore archive instead of the pod request. As a result, the validations run on the pod spec, verifying that the pod has access to the mounts it specifies are not applicable to a restored container. This flaw allows a malicious user to trick CRI-O into restoring a pod that doesn't have access to host mounts. The user needs access to the kubelet or cri-o socket to call the restore endpoint and trigger the restore. |
| A flaw was found in Red Hat Openshift AI Service. The TrustyAI component is granting all service accounts and users on a cluster permissions to get, list, watch any pod in any namespace on the cluster.
TrustyAI is creating a role `trustyai-service-operator-lmeval-user-role` and a CRB `trustyai-service-operator-default-lmeval-user-rolebinding` which is being applied to `system:authenticated` making it so that every single user or service account can get a list of pods running in any namespace on the cluster
Additionally users can access all `persistentvolumeclaims` and `lmevaljobs` |
| A memory leak flaw was found in Golang in the RSA encrypting/decrypting code, which might lead to a resource exhaustion vulnerability using attacker-controlled inputs. The memory leak happens in github.com/golang-fips/openssl/openssl/rsa.go#L113. The objects leaked are pkey and ctx. That function uses named return parameters to free pkey and ctx if there is an error initializing the context or setting the different properties. All return statements related to error cases follow the "return nil, nil, fail(...)" pattern, meaning that pkey and ctx will be nil inside the deferred function that should free them. |
| CRLF injection vulnerability in the mail function in PHP 4.0.0 through 4.4.6 and 5.0.0 through 5.2.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary e-mail headers and possibly conduct spam attacks via a control character immediately following folding of the (1) Subject or (2) To parameter, as demonstrated by a parameter containing a "\r\n\t\n" sequence, related to an increment bug in the SKIP_LONG_HEADER_SEP macro. |
| Integer overflow in PHP 4.4.4 and earlier allows remote context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via a long string to the unserialize function, which triggers the overflow in the ZVAL reference counter. |
| A regression error in Mozilla Firefox 2.x before 2.0.0.2 and 1.x before 1.5.0.10, and SeaMonkey 1.1 before 1.1.1 and 1.0 before 1.0.8, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary JavaScript as the user via an HTML mail message with a javascript: URI in an (1) img, (2) link, or (3) style tag, which bypasses the access checks and executes code with chrome privileges. |
| Double free vulnerability in the Adobe Acrobat Reader Plugin before 8.0.0, as used in Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.7, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by causing an error via a javascript: URI call to document.write in the (1) FDF, (2) XML, or (3) XFDF AJAX request parameters. |
| Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Adobe Acrobat Reader Plugin before 8.0.0, and possibly the plugin distributed with Adobe Reader 7.x before 7.1.4, 8.x before 8.1.7, and 9.x before 9.2, for Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 SP1, Google Chrome, Opera 8.5.4 build 770, and Opera 9.10.8679 on Windows allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript and conduct other attacks via a .pdf URL with a javascript: or res: URI with (1) FDF, (2) XML, and (3) XFDF AJAX parameters, or (4) an arbitrarily named name=URI anchor identifier, aka "Universal XSS (UXSS)." |
| Multiple integer overflows in OpenOffice.org (OOo) 2.0.4 and earlier, and possibly other versions before 2.1.0; and StarOffice 6 through 8; allow user-assisted remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted (a) WMF or (b) EMF file that triggers heap-based buffer overflows in (1) wmf/winwmf.cxx, during processing of META_ESCAPE records; and wmf/enhwmf.cxx, during processing of (2) EMR_POLYPOLYGON and (3) EMR_POLYPOLYGON16 records. |
| Array index error in the (1) dtoa implementation in dtoa.c (aka pdtoa.c) and the (2) gdtoa (aka new dtoa) implementation in gdtoa/misc.c in libc, as used in multiple operating systems and products including in FreeBSD 6.4 and 7.2, NetBSD 5.0, OpenBSD 4.5, Mozilla Firefox 3.0.x before 3.0.15 and 3.5.x before 3.5.4, K-Meleon 1.5.3, SeaMonkey 1.1.8, and other products, allows context-dependent attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a large precision value in the format argument to a printf function, which triggers incorrect memory allocation and a heap-based buffer overflow during conversion to a floating-point number. |
| The UTF-8 decoder in codecs/qutfcodec.cpp in Qt 3.3.8 and 4.2.3 does not reject long UTF-8 sequences as required by the standard, which allows remote attackers to conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) and directory traversal attacks via long sequences that decode to dangerous metacharacters. |
| Array index error in gd_gif_in.c in the GD Graphics Library (libgd) before 2.0.35 allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash and heap corruption) via large color index values in crafted image data, which results in a segmentation fault. |
| Directory traversal vulnerability in the (1) extract and (2) extractall functions in the tarfile module in Python allows user-assisted remote attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) sequence in filenames in a TAR archive, a related issue to CVE-2001-1267. |
