CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
mm/slab: take n->list_lock in __slab_try_return_freelist() to avoid race
Commit ba7425312607 ("mm, slab: add an optimistic
__slab_try_return_freelist()") incorrectly assumed that nobody has freed
an object to the slab as long as slab->freelist is NULL and cmpxchg
succeeds.
However, as reported by Hyunwoo Kim [1], other CPUs might have freed
an object to the slab, insert the slab to the partial list, then
allocated an object from the slab, and be in the middle of removing
the slab from the list under n->list_lock.
Since __refill_objects_node() puts the slab back on pc.slabs
outside n->list_lock, it might insert the slab into that list while
the slab is concurrently being removed from n->partial.
This led to a list corruption [1]:
list_add corruption. next->prev should be prev
(ffff888100000248), but was dead000000000122.
(next=ffffea000416e410).

Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception
This is a classic ABA problem where cmpxchg succeeds but the state has
changed since __refill_objects_node() took the freelist from the slab.
As Vlastimil Babka mentioned [2], it should be rare to return more than
one slab (due to the racy read of slab->counters in
get_partial_node_bulk()). Therefore, instead of introducing additional
complexity, acquire and release n->list_lock twice in the worst case.
Return the slab directly to the partial list and hold n->list_lock
across the cmpxchg and add_partial(). This is similar to the initial
version of commit ba7425312607 [3]. This is enough to avoid the race as
the list manipulation is serialized by n->list_lock. While at it,
bring back unlikely() hint now that the condition is unlikely. |
| Improper Access Control in ArgusMonitor.sys in Argotronic eGbR ArgusMonitor 7.4.02 and earlier allows local, low-privileged users to bypass device handle access restrictions via a TOCTOU condition in IRP_MJ_CREATE and send a crafted IOCTL 0x9C4024A8 request, causing denial-of-service. |
| Race condition, use-after-free in the Audio/Video component. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 157 and Firefox 157. |
| NVIDIA Virtual GPU Manager contains a vulnerability in the GPU System Processor (GSP) tracing component where a guest VM user may cause improper access by sending crafted data through a shared buffer. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, escalation of privileges, data tampering, denial of service, and information disclosure. |
| Nezha is a server and website monitoring tool. In versions >= 2.2.11 and < 2.3.1, the service sentinel worker (service/singleton/servicesentinel.go) contains an incomplete fix for a previously reported nil dereference denial of service (GHSA-qjpp-gffx-2wm9). The 2026-07-21 fix re-validated the service lifecycle under serviceResponseDataStoreLock but reused an already-captured, now stale reporter pointer and never re-validated the server, and that lock does not guard ServerShared. An authenticated user with the member role who owns an agent can issue a concurrent server delete (POST /api/v1/batch-delete/server) for their own server to win the race window, causing the worker to dereference a missing entry in the server list snapshot. Because the sentinel workers and the gRPC server have no recover()/recovery interceptor, the resulting panic is unrecovered and crashes the entire instance. This is fixed in version 2.3.1. |
| NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer where a privileged user could trigger a race condition that leads to an out-of-bounds write. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, denial of service, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and data tampering. |
| Race condition in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 154.0.8037.57 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| TeamViewer Full Client and Host prior to version 15.82 on Windows contain a TOCTOU race condition in the installer rollback mechanism. A local low-privileged attacker can replace rollback backup files stored in a user-writable temporary directory before they are restored by an elevated installer, resulting in privilege escalation to NT AUHORITY/SYSTEM. Exploitation requires successful timing of the race condition and a rollback during installation or update. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/amdxdna: Remove __counted_by from struct amdxdna_cmd_chain
struct amdxdna_cmd_chain contains a flexible array annotated with
__counted_by(command_count). Since the structure is stored in shared
AMDXDNA_BO_SHARE memory, userspace can modify command_count concurrently.
If command_count is changed to zero, the bounds check generated from
__counted_by may fail and trigger a kernel panic.
Remove __counted_by to avoid relying on the userspace-controlled
command_count for the flexible array bounds check. |
| Affected products do not properly synchronize access to their monitoring functionality. When multiple clients send concurrent requests, this may lead to incorrect reads or writes, or to corruption of internal memory structures. An authenticated remote attacker with monitoring access can exploit this issue to cause incorrect data processing or a denial-of-service condition. |
| OpenClaw (npm package 'openclaw') before 2026.7.1 is vulnerable to a time-of-check time-of-use race condition in OpenShell local mirror filesystem mutation operations. The remove, mkdir, and rename operations could act on a different filesystem target after OpenClaw completed its sandbox path-safety check, if the path is changed concurrently. An attacker able to win the race can cause a sandboxed operation to delete, create, or rename a host path outside the intended mirror root with the permissions of the OpenClaw process user. This does not require an operator to have granted host filesystem access outside the sandbox. The issue is fixed in 2026.7.1. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nvme: fix racy access to FDP placement id array
nvme_query_fdp_info() is called per-path and therefore prone to races.
It populates head->nr_plids/head->plids for fdp registration.
But nothing protects that pair from concurrent access - two paths scanning
the same namespace can race to populate it.
Avoid the race by moving this initialization work to nvme_alloc_ns_head()
which is called once per shared namespace. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfs: Fix readahead synchronisation issues by loading all folios upfront
There are some synchronisation issues that derive from the app thread
adding more folios to the rolling buffer whilst the collector thread is
looking at them or trying to clear them, such as determining the setting of
front_folio_order when the next folio hasn't been added yet,
The reason for the rolling buffer approach is that loading the buffer
upfront and then dropping all the refs just acquired is quite a slow
operation, and loading progressively allows some of the cost to be deferred
until after at least some of the I/O is started.
Instead, a better way is to load all the folios into the rolling buffer
upfront - and then drop the refs later, once the I/O is in progress. (Even
better would be for the refs not to be there at all.)
Fix this by changing the rolling buffer loader to load all the folios
selected by the VM for readahead upfront into the folio queue. The folio
queue is allocated a batch worth at a time as we don't know how many folios
are involved (the readahead_control struct, alas, has a page count, not a
folio count).
The folio refs acquired from readahead are then dropped in bulk once the
first subrequest is dispatched as it's quite a slow operation. The
collector waits for NETFS_RREQ_NEED_PUT_RA_REFS to be cleared so that it
doesn't unlock folios before the xarray has been scanned for them.
This simplifies the buffer handling later and isn't noticeably slower as
the xarray doesn't need to be modified and the folios are all already
pre-locked. |
| A race condition in the document value layer of MongoDB Server can allow concurrent server threads to operate on the same internal memory without synchronization, leading to memory corruption. An authenticated user holding ordinary read-write privileges on a database may be able to trigger this condition over the normal client protocol, resulting in server termination and potential corruption of process memory with user-influenced content. Successful use of this issue may impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the affected server process. |
| The account recovery (password reset) functionality in the vulnerability-lookup web application contains a time-of-check-to-time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition in the consumption of single-use recovery tokens. The original implementation verified the token nonce against the stored digest and then consumed (cleared) it in separate database operations. Two concurrent HTTP requests presenting the same valid recovery token could both pass the verification check before either transaction committed, allowing both to set their own password on the target account. The last transaction to commit overwrites the first, enabling an attacker who possesses a valid recovery token to replace the legitimate user's password with one of their choosing.
A secondary defect in the same endpoint (confirm_account) allowed a valid recovery link to be used to set an empty or trivially short password (e.g., three characters). The view handler performed only a manual equality comparison between the two password fields and never invoked the form's validation logic, bypassing the intended minimum-length and complexity constraints.
The affected component is the user account recovery endpoint (/user/confirm_account/<token>) and the associated token verification and consumption logic in the User model (website/models/user.py) and the view layer (website/web/views/user.py). |
| MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to 0.22.0, validate_url_for_ssrf checks a hostname's resolved addresses, but Requests and urllib3 resolve the hostname again when connecting. A caller can use a short-lived DNS answer that is public during validation and private during connection, preserving unauthenticated access to internal or metadata endpoints despite the earlier CVE-2026-27826 remediation. The advisory traces the vulnerable input and processing flow through validate_url_for_ssrf, _check_dns_resolution, socket.getaddrinfo, and _make_ssrf_safe_hook, which identify the affected entry points, controls, and code paths. This issue is fixed in version 0.22.0. |
| Concurrent execution using shared resource with improper synchronization ('race condition') in Windows Management Instrumentation allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| OpenClaw (npm package `openclaw`) versions >= 2026.7.2 and < 2026.9.2 contain a race condition in the Discord realtime voice transcript path. Concurrent control-classified voice transcripts could consume speaker context belonging to another participant after an asynchronous control check, causing a transcript to inherit another speaker's owner status. In Discord agent-proxy voice sessions using the affected realtime control path, an utterance from a non-owner participant could reach the downstream agent boundary marked as owner, so owner-sensitive behavior is applied to the wrong speaker. Exploitation depends on concurrent transcript timing and on the tools and commands available to the affected agent. The issue is fixed in 2026.9.2; as a workaround, disable Discord realtime voice for agents that distinguish owner and non-owner senders. |
| Time-of-check time-of-use race condition for the Intel(R) NPU Driver for Windows for all versions within Ring 1: Device Drivers may allow a denial of service. Unprivileged software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a high complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (low) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts. |
| GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 18.6 before 19.2.7, 19.3 before 19.3.3, and 19.4 before 19.4.1 that under a race condition, the MCP search tool's shared state handling could have caused search results to be returned under an incorrect user context. |
