CVSS v3.1 |
| Cesanta Mongoose commit b316989 was discovered to contain a NULL pointer dereference via the scpy function at src/fmt.c. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted MQTT packet. |
| An uninitialized pointer dereference in OpenAirInterface CN5G AMF up to v2.0.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted InitialContextSetupResponse message sent to the AMF. |
| robdns commit d76d2e6 was discovered to contain a NULL pointer dereference via the item->tokens component at /src/conf-parse.c. |
| simple-dhcp-server through ec976d2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (daemon crash) by sending a DHCP packet without any option fields, which causes free_packet in dhcp_packet.c to dereference a NULL pointer. |
| NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in ravynsoft ravynos. This issue affects ravynos: through 0.5.2. |
| NULL pointer dereference for some Intel(R) Graphics Drivers may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via local access. |
| A potential null pointer dereference vulnerability was reported in the Lenovo Power Management Driver that could allow a local authenticated user to cause a Windows blue screen error. |
| A null pointer dereference has been identified in the AsIO3.sys driver. The vulnerability can be triggered by a specially crafted input, which may lead to a system crash (BSOD).
Refer to the 'Security Update for Armoury Crate App' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| NanoMQ MQTT Broker (NanoMQ) is an all-around Edge Messaging Platform. In NanoMQ version 0.24.6, after enabling auth.http_auth (HTTP authentication), when a client connects to the broker using MQTT CONNECT without providing username/password, and the configuration params uses the placeholders %u / %P (e.g., username="%u", password="%P"), the HTTP request construction phase enters auth_http.c:set_data(). This results in calling strlen() on a NULL pointer, causing a SIGSEGV crash. This crash can be triggered remotely, resulting in a denial of service. This issue has been patched in version 0.24.7. |
| Null pointer dereference in Microsoft Graphics Component allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service locally. |
| Null pointer dereference in Windows Performance Counters allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Null pointer dereference in Windows Ancillary Function Driver for WinSock allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Suricata is a network IDS, IPS and NSM engine. From version 8.0.0 to before version 8.0.4, use of the "tls.alpn" rule keyword can cause Suricata to crash with a NULL dereference. This issue has been patched in version 8.0.4. |
| Ella Core is a 5G core designed for private networks. Prior to version 1.8.0, Ella Core panics when processing a NGAP handover failure message. An attacker able to cause a gNodeB to send NGAP handover failure messages to Ella Core can crash the process, causing service disruption for all connected subscribers. This issue has been patched in version 1.8.0. |
| A race condition during TCP connection teardown can cause tcp_recv() to operate on a connection that has already been released. If tcp_conn_search() returns NULL while processing a SYN packet, a NULL pointer derived from stale context data is passed to tcp_backlog_is_full() and dereferenced without validation, leading to a crash. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: allow ext4_get_group_info() to fail
Previously, ext4_get_group_info() would treat an invalid group number
as BUG(), since in theory it should never happen. However, if a
malicious attaker (or fuzzer) modifies the superblock via the block
device while it is the file system is mounted, it is possible for
s_first_data_block to get set to a very large number. In that case,
when calculating the block group of some block number (such as the
starting block of a preallocation region), could result in an
underflow and very large block group number. Then the BUG_ON check in
ext4_get_group_info() would fire, resutling in a denial of service
attack that can be triggered by root or someone with write access to
the block device.
For a quality of implementation perspective, it's best that even if
the system administrator does something that they shouldn't, that it
will not trigger a BUG. So instead of BUG'ing, ext4_get_group_info()
will call ext4_error and return NULL. We also add fallback code in
all of the callers of ext4_get_group_info() that it might NULL.
Also, since ext4_get_group_info() was already borderline to be an
inline function, un-inline it. The results in a next reduction of the
compiled text size of ext4 by roughly 2k. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/mlx5e: Harden uplink netdev access against device unbind
The function mlx5_uplink_netdev_get() gets the uplink netdevice
pointer from mdev->mlx5e_res.uplink_netdev. However, the netdevice can
be removed and its pointer cleared when unbound from the mlx5_core.eth
driver. This results in a NULL pointer, causing a kernel panic.
BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: 0000000000001300

Ensure the pointer is valid before use by checking it for NULL. If it
is valid, immediately call netdev_hold() to take a reference, and
preventing the netdevice from being freed while it is in use. |
| The issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in Safari 18.5, iOS 18.5 and iPadOS 18.5, iPadOS 17.7.7, macOS Sequoia 15.5, tvOS 18.5, visionOS 2.5, watchOS 11.5. Processing maliciously crafted web content may lead to an unexpected process crash. |
| A null pointer dereference was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 18.7.7 and iPadOS 18.7.7, iOS 26.4 and iPadOS 26.4, macOS Sequoia 15.7.5, macOS Sonoma 14.8.5, macOS Tahoe 26.4, tvOS 26.4, visionOS 26.4, watchOS 26.4. A user in a privileged network position may be able to cause a denial-of-service. |
| LibJWT is a C JSON Web Token Library. Starting in version 3.0.0 and prior to version 3.3.0, the JWK parsing for RSA-PSS did not protect against a NULL value when expecting to parse JSON string values. A specially crafted JWK file could exploit this behavior by using integers in places where the code expected a string. This was fixed in v3.3.0. A workaround is available. Users importing keys through a JWK file should not do so from untrusted sources. Use the `jwk2key` tool to check for validity of a JWK file. Likewise, if possible, do not use JWK files with RSA-PSS keys. |
