CVSS v3.1 |
| A buffer overflow vulnerability in the XML processing functionality of Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS® software enables an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the management web or dataplane interface to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on VM-Series firewalls or execute arbitrary code with root privileges on the PA-Series firewalls.
The security risk posed by this issue is minimized when the management interface is restricted to only trusted internal IP addresses according to our recommended best practice deployment guidelines https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/community-blogs/tips-amp-tricks-how-to-secure-the-management-access-of-your-palo/ba-p/464431 .

| An Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an adjacent attacker which sends a specific set of BGP communities to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS) as rpd crashes when graceful-shutdown sender community is added when attempting to advertise. |
| MOOS core-moos through 10.4.0 contains a pre-authentication heap overflow vulnerability in MOOSCommPkt packet handling that allows remote attackers to write arbitrary data by declaring a negative packet length. Attackers can exploit the signed integer check in InflateTo() and negative size conversion in recv() to overflow a four-byte heap buffer during the HandShake phase before authentication. |
| MOOS-IvP through 24.8.1 contains multiple buffer overflow vulnerabilities in IvP function string decoders that trust attacker-controlled length fields without validation. Attackers can craft malicious encoded strings with mismatched declared and actual field lengths to overflow heap and stack buffers, potentially achieving remote code execution through MOOS variables or alog files. |
| A security vulnerability has been detected in Praat up to 7.0.02. Affected is the function whisper_model_load of the file external/whispercpp/whisper.cpp of the component Model Loader. The manipulation of the argument n_dims leads to out-of-bounds write. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been disclosed publicly and may be used. The identifier of the patch is a910d21a2705ef4cd16d91f29cdc8da1ab1a7221. To fix this issue, it is recommended to deploy a patch. The project maintainer confirms: "We did a quick fix (suggested fix 1) for Praat version 7.0.03, and scheduled a better fix (suggested fix 2)." |
| A flaw was found in the DPDK GSO library. When software GSO copies packet headers into a new mbuf, it does not check that the header fits in the source first segment or in the destination buffer, and a header longer than the configured GSO segment size can underflow the payload-size calculation. A remote or guest-supplied packet processed with software GSO can trigger an out-of-bounds read or write. |
| The Okta Credential Provider for Windows does not validate a serialized credential buffer before interpreting it as a Kerberos logon structure. The buffer size and packed string offsets are not checked. Processing a malformed buffer can cause the credential provider process to terminate unexpectedly or lead to out-of-bounds memory reads and writes, which may result in the disclosure of adjacent process memory into local system logs. |
| GNU Aspell 0.60.8.2 (first vulnerable version is not known) contains a heap-based buffer overflow write (CWE-122) in its read-only dictionary loader. String::reserve() in common/string.hpp computes its capacity check with a signed int ((int)s + 1), so a requested size of 0x7FFFFFFF wraps negative and the backing buffer is never grown. ReadOnlyDict::load() in modules/speller/default/readonly_ws.cpp passes the unvalidated 32-bit size fields from a .rws dictionary header into this path, so a crafted .rws file with a valid endian marker (12345678) and an oversized length field (e.g. lang_name_size = 0x7FFFFFFF) causes attacker-controlled data to be written out of bounds past an undersized heap allocation. An attacker who induces a victim to load a malicious dictionary — for example via aspell dump master <file> — can corrupt heap memory, resulting in denial of service and potentially code execution. Fixed in b830b6e and will be fixed in release 0.60.8.3. |
